I made this veil for my daughter's wedding day using the scraps cut from her dress when it was hemmed!

My love of fabric began when my grandmother took me to the carpet mill next door to her home in Georgia when I was 8 years old. She let me choose my favorite fabric and then taught me how to sew — an invaluable gift! I've been sewing ever since, making my first draperies when I was in 7th grade after we added a family room to our house, flying through Home Ec classes in high school, opting out of college sewing classes when they wanted me to start from the beginning, making my wedding dress for under $100, creating most of my sweet daughter's dresses and costumes as she was growing up, opening a successful drapery business in 1998, to now, becoming an embroidery and quilting fanatic. 

I love fabric and thread — and all the possibilities that can happen when I start to create! I like to do different things, so check back often and you may find anything from quilted table runners and totes, to beautiful bags and purses, to fun and colorful kitchen textiles, to heirloom children's quilts, to custom valances and draperies.
